Studocu was founded on the principle that equal access to study notes reduces inequality between students. Today, we make it easy for more than 45+ million students to share notes every month and use cutting-edge AI learning tools (like Quizzes, AI Chat, and Ask-AI) to help them ace their study goals. Discovery is the name of the historical “core product” team of Studocu. Its mission is to ensure our users have the best possible experience discovering the content and features they are looking for. The team is responsible for shaping the foundations of our platform as it is today. This is the team that shipped our general page hierarchy, the main Studocu landing page, the home page used by all registered users, our website search, the first version of our Mobile App… Can’t get more “core” than this!

As the Product Manager for Discovery, you are responsible for driving the vision of how users should navigate our content and many platform features. You will work closely with a cross-functional team of experts to ensure that we continuously delight our users. This means incrementally improving our general navigation and onboarding experience, our home page which serves as a content recommendation center, our search, and our content pages… But it also means driving innovative projects from scratch and taking risks when the payoff is big. Therefore this is a position with a strong “0 to 1” component, which means you will have to navigate uncertainty with a high level of freedom to identify and bring to life new opportunities, driven both by your proximity with users and your strong data acumen.

What you'll be doing here

  • Take the lead: define the strategy; set the OKRs, be the voice of the team spearheading Studocu’s product vision;

  • Live and breathe the needs of our target audience through targeted user research;

  • Be the Studocu expert on trends in content consumption, content-related UX, and relevant use of AI;

  • Synthesise insights into winning ideas and get the buy-in you need to bring them to life;

  • Use our abundance of data to your advantage and implement A/B tests to discover valuable insights and make data-driven decisions;

  • Work closely with designers, engineers and data scientists to ship a product that helps students all around the globe;

  • Coordinate product launches with our marketing, operations and support teams;

  • Have a ton of fun in the process!

Job requirements

  • At least 3+ years of experience as a PM;
  • Experience building customer-facing products from scratch;

  • Proven history of shipping products with general good UX or key “delighting” features;

  • Proven history of leading transverse projects involving several teams and contributing to the overall product vision of their company in a significant way;

  • Proven history of using data to guide strategy and product decisions;

  • Good commercial instinct; capable of prioritising based on impact on the bottom line;

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (in English).
