(Senior) Lifecycle Marketer

  • Hybrid
    • Amsterdam, Noord-Holland, Netherlands
  • Business & Operations

Job description

Studocu was founded on the principle that equal access to study notes reduces inequality between students. Today, we make it easy for more than 45+ million students to share notes every month and use cutting-edge AI learning tools (like Studocu AI and Class Recording on the App).

About this Role:

Our product has evolved rapidly over the last year, and we are ready to reinvent how we communicate with our users. We aren’t looking for someone to "maintain" existing flows; we need a builder to architect our lifecycle strategy from the ground up.

As our Senior Lifecycle Marketer, you will own the end-to-end journey: from activation and habit-building to conversion and long-term retention. You think in systems, design with intention, and obsess over delivering the right message at the right moment.  You’re excited by complex user journeys, segmentation, and personalization, and you know how to turn lifecycle marketing into a real growth and retention lever.

You will define the strategy, collaborate with Product, and lead experimentation. To ensure you stay focused on high-level impact and "the big picture," you will have the full support of an agency to handle technical execution and operational tasks.

Why this role matters:

With millions of users across different countries, languages and educational systems, your work will influence the key parts of the user experience. You will:

  • Help users reach their "Aha!" moment faster.

  • Turn product launches into long-term user habits.

  • Ensure our 45M+ users feel seen through coherent, localized touchpoints across Email, Push, and In-App channels.

What you’ll do:

  • Architect the Foundation: Re-imagine and rebuild our entire lifecycle ecosystem from scratch, guiding students through our platform to ensure they have the exact tools and notes needed to ace their exams.

  • Own the user journey end-to-end: Partner closely with Product and Design to define and continuously optimize the full lifecycle journey from first touch to engaged and paying user across web and app.

  • Build and scale systems: Design, build, and own automation flows across email, in-app, and push (using Customer.io). Create sophisticated segmentation and personalization strategies that scale across users and markets.

  • Drive experimentation and impact: Prioritize a roadmap of A/B tests on messaging, timing, and structure to move the needle on core growth KPIs.

  • Bridge the Gap: Act as the lifecycle lead for product launches, ensuring new features are introduced at the right time in the user’s ongoing journey.

  • Localize and personalize at scale: Design lifecycle strategies that work across countries, languages, and cultures. Adapt messaging based on market, maturity, and user behavior.

  • Use AI & technology to level up your strategy: Identify where automation and AI can improve relevance, speed, and learning. Partner with Engineering and Data to implement new CRM capabilities, integrations, and tracking.

Job requirements

What you bring:

  • 5-8+ years of experience in lifecycle, CRM, or growth marketing at a fast-moving, product-led company (experience with both Web and App is essential)

  • You have a proven track record of building complex, automated user journeys from scratch, not just tweaking existing ones

  • Deep hands-on experience with Customer.io or similar platforms

  • Proven experimentation mindset with comfort designing proper A/B tests and reading results

  • Excellent lifecycle copywriting skills across email and push

  • Experience collaborating closely with Product and Design

  • (Nice to have) Experience running lifecycle programs across international and localized markets

  • (Nice to have) SQL or strong data literacy

  • (Nice to have) Hands-on experience using AI for CRM optimization and personalization

What we offer:

  • A chance to revamp our entire lifecycle strategy and see your impact on millions of students worldwide.

  • Competitive salary and benefits package.

  • Flexible working arrangements, including remote work.

  • A dynamic, collaborative team that values experimentation, autonomy, and results.

  • A generous L&D budget to help you grow and sharpen your content & AI edge.

Ready to make an impact? If you’re excited about having an impact on users across their journey  and collaborating with different departments, we want to hear from you! Apply now to join us on our mission to revolutionise education for students everywhere.
