Studocu was founded on the principle that equal access to study notes reduces inequality between students. Today, we make it easy for more than 45+ million students to share notes every month and use cutting-edge AI learning tools (like Quizzes, AI Chat, and Ask-AI) to help them ace their study goals. The product was a rocketship from day one and has shown strong product-market fit on every continent with enviable YoY growth, making us a key player in the exploding EdTech space.


Do you want to work on a platform that makes study materials accessible for 45+ million students?

We are expanding our 11 SCRUM teams (75+ back-end, front-end and full-stack developers) and are looking for a talented addition to our teams, who is a wizard with Typescript and has experience with modern React.


Now, 2 of our Tech teams need more hands on board to develop new functionalities for our application:

  • Monetisation - which mission is to increase revenue by growing our subscriber base and running monetisation experiments to keep improving our model. The team is responsible for processing payments from 100+ countries using 28 payment methods. Which we believe is quite cool.
  • SEO - Drive as much relevant traffic to the website as possible by maximizing our visibility in search engines.

No matter which team you will join, you will be working with our PM's, designers and back-end developers to create responsive pages that provide Studocu’s users with the best possible experience. We are keen to join hands with someone whose hunger for technology is only matched by a motivation to solve difficult problems fast, efficiently, and with a keen eye for design.


What you'll be doing here:

  • You will collaborate closely with your team which consists of an Engineering Manager, a Product Manager, a Designer, a Data Scientist, a QA Engineer and other developers to come up with user-oriented solutions.

  • You will be involved in the full development cycle from refinement, through implementation, to code review.

  • You will be responsible for leading certain projects tied to our Objective Key Results and frontend migration projects of the team.

  • You will work in two-week sprints, and participate in standups, refinements and retros.

  • You will have the opportunity to share and apply your knowledge and expertise on technical topics while coaching other developers and presenting at our Learning & Development talks.

This recruitment process:

Job requirements

We are looking for you when you are keen to work with core front-end web technologies:

  • React

  • Next.JS

  • Typescript

  • Jest + React Testing Library

  • Sass (SCSS)

To be successful in this role, this is the kind of profile we have in mind:

  • A React and TypeScript expert

  • Ability to write clean, performant, reusable code

  • Solid English communication skills, both written and verbal

  • A team player who thrives on collaboration

  • Keen to work in a hybrid manner with a minimum of two days a week in our office in Amsterdam (living in or relocating to the Netherlands is a must).

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience with real-time services

  • ReduxToolkit

  • AWS experience

  • Proficiency with PHP / Laravel
