About this Role:

We're seeking a proactive, pragmatic, energetic, hands-on, system-thinking, and strong communicator to join our team as an Agentic Backend Engineer (Python). You will be obsessed with delivering intelligent, intuitive, and impactful features that will delight students at scale.  You’ll form part of a team working on our new Learning Experience: Studocu AI (studocu.com/ai)

Job requirements

What you bring:

  • Proven experience as a (Senior) Backend Engineer with a strong focus on Python and agentic applications.

  • A track record of successfully launching and iterating on data-driven products that have delivered measurable user value and business impact.

  • Deep understanding of agent architecture, including production agentic application experience (LangGraph / Langchain is a plus), multi-agent orchestration, and advanced state management.

  • Expertise in AI/ML integration, including document processing, prompt engineering & management, evaluation & monitoring, and vector database operations.

  • Strong API & deployment knowledge, including experience with high-performance async APIs (FastAPI).

  • A system-oriented mindset with a bias for action and experimentation in a fast-paced environment.

  • A genuine interest in student life, learning, and what resonates with a Gen Z audience.

Nice to have: Experience with tools like LangGraph / Langchain, FastAPI, Langfuse / Langsmith, Milvus, Kubernetes, CI/CD, AWS services, vector database management, and conversational AI.
