Job description

Studocu was founded on the principle that equal access to study notes reduces inequality between students. Today, we make it easy for more than 45+ million students to share notes every month and use cutting-edge AI learning tools (like Quizzes, AI Chat, and Ask-AI) to help them ace their study goals. The product was a rocket ship from day one and has shown strong product-market fit on every continent with enviable YoY growth, making us a key player in the exploding EdTech space.

Your day starts with ensuring smooth People Operations—maybe you're refining onboarding workflows to create a seamless experience for new hires or coordinating with hiring managers to streamline recruitment processes. Midday, you’re focused on employee engagement, supporting initiatives like internal communications, feedback programs, or culture-building activities. In the afternoon, you're collaborating with managers on hiring needs, scheduling interviews, and ensuring a positive candidate experience. You might also be reviewing HR policies, maintaining data accuracy in our HR systems, or supporting team development initiatives. You wrap up the day by analysing key people metrics and providing insights to improve processes and enhance the overall employee experience.

But don’t worry! Your People team of 6 is there if you need help or advice on a specific topic from either the People Operations Specialist, Talent Partner, People Business Partner or Events & Community Manager.

What you’ll be doing here:

  • Employee Lifecycle Management – Supporting onboarding, offboarding, and contract administration to ensure a smooth employee experience;

  • Compliance & Payroll – Supporting payroll processes, ensuring compliance with Dutch labor laws, supporting IND & 30% ruling cases, parental leave policies, and handling sickness & UWV cases;

  • Recruitment – Collaborating with Talent Acquisition to coordinate interviews, manage candidate communication, and track hiring progress;

  • Employee Experience & Engagement – Contributing to initiatives enhancing employee engagement and improving internal People processes;

  • People Advisory Support – Assisting in People & Culture projects, providing operational support and People advisory;

  • People Systems & Data Management – Working together with our People Ops Specialist to maintain accurate HRIS data for reporting and analysis;

  • People Analytics – Analyzing People data and developing future-proof reports to support business leaders with insights;

  • Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) – Tracking and reporting DE&I metrics while driving initiatives to foster an inclusive workplace.

Job requirements

  • 2+ years of relevant working experience in People & Culture/HR, in a fast-paced, scaling environment;

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;

  • Experience with HR tools & analytics to improve efficiency;

  • Knowledge of HR compliance, payroll, and Dutch labor laws;

  • Fluent in English, and Dutch knowledge is highly preferred;

  • A proactive mindset with a hands-on approach.

Why you’ll love it here:

  • Make a Real Impact: Play a key role in shaping and improving People Operations, directly influencing Studocu’s growth and employee experience;

  • Build and Innovate: We have a solid foundation and you’ll have the freedom to refine and enhance processes, creating a top-tier People function;
