The difference you will make:

As an Engineering Manager at Studocu, you'll lead a full-stack team of diverse software developers focused on advancing AI technologies. Collaborating with your Product Manager and Principal Engineers, you'll guide team delivery, enhance our technical systems, and shape the technical vision. Your role is central to product expansion, targeting growth in the global secondary education market through innovative, experimental AI products aimed at user and content acquisition. Your efforts will ensure a maintainable architecture and consistent implementation across our platforms.

A Typical day:

  • Enable the team to connect the docs of their work with broader initiatives and goals;

  • Build a robust team by mentoring individuals, providing feedback, facilitating and improving processes;

  • Nurture a culture of technical quality from design to code review, to production;

  • Setting the direction and vision for the team in collaboration with your PM;

  • Collaborate with the team and cross-functional to gain agreement by developing and communicating a clear and impactful vision and priority for the team.


The recruitment process:

  1. Introductory chat with a Recruiter;
  2. Interview with one of our Engineering Managers or CTO to learn more about this role;
  3. Technical interview focusing on technical leadership and system design;
  4. Final leadership interview with the PM of the team and the CEO.

Job requirements

  • 7+ years of software engineering background and 2+ years of leading multi disciplinary teams;

  • Strong familiarity with software engineering principles, including object-oriented and functional programming paradigms, cloud patterns, and code quality practices;

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team and across the engineering organization;

  • A preference for building delightful products to solve real user problems while maintaining a high technical quality bar;

  • Experience helping engineers achieve their personal and professional goals.
