Senior UX Researcher

Netherlands, Noord-Holland, AmsterdamProduct

Job description

Studocu was founded on the principle that equal access to study notes reduces inequality between students. Today, we make it easy for more than 45+ million students to share notes every month. The product was a rocket ship from day one and has shown strong product-market fit on every continent, making us a key player in the exploding EdTech space. We received a $50 million Series B investment so we’re in rapid growth and scale mode, and we need serious talent to help us make it happen.

As the Senior UX Researcher, you will be a part of the Design team, working closely with Product Managers and other stakeholders to support product and strategic decisions by scaling our User Experience Research while maintaining speed, quality, and excellence across the board. This is a chance for you to be the voice of our 50+ mln users, that understands their needs, pains, frustrations, and successes during studies and how StuDocu can help.

Holding the above close to your heart you will be participating in ideation sessions with our strategic teams, planning and executing UX research, recruiting users, and presenting and debating the findings of your projects. You won’t be alone with that as there is already one other amazing UX Researcher here who, together with the rest of the design team, will help out with spotting the areas for exploration, deciding on approaches, and finding the best possible and suitable methods and solutions.

What you'll be doing:

  • Conduct quantitative research with knowledge of methods such as big data analysis, segmentation, cohorts, funnel analysis, user patterns, business metrics analysis, A/B testing, benchmarking, clustering, heuristic evaluations, surveys, and statistical analysis methods.

  • Conduct qualitative research with knowledge of methods such as in-depth interviews, focus groups, in-site research, card sorting, usability testing, desirability and discoverability studies, and explorational research.

  • Compile finished, well-documented research findings, delivering meaningful and actionable insights and recommendations to feed design and OKR teams and conduct internal workshops.

  • Convert quantitative insights, usage, and research data into actionable recommendations for designers and project managers, enabling them to set strategic objectives and support product decisions.

  • Provide advice on the most appropriate research methods based on experience and market best practices.

Why you are going to love it here:

  • Touching a bit of everything and working with everyone.
  • Mandate to “break things” and “challenge status quo”.

  • Having access to crazy amounts of data from all over the world and being able to dig around.

  • We are expanding constantly, and we want you to contribute to this process.

  • You’ll have a huge impact on the development of a world leader in EdTech.

  • Truly flexible job schedule - working from home or our beautiful office, taking a walk whenever you need, starting earlier, finishing later - all according to your rhythm.

  • Colleagues from all around the globe and various disciplines. It's likely you’ll find amazing friends here.

  • Our founders care to keep up the good spirit in the team: yearly trips to amazing locations, parties, group activities, offsites (we just came back from Mallorca!), learning and development budget, and much more.

Job requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in UX Research, of which at least 3 with a focus on a quantitative approach.

  • Data Analytics, web analytics (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, SQL).

  • Advanced knowledge of probability and statistics, aptitude for identifying patterns and trends in data sets, and deftness in formulating testable hypotheses.

  • Data management, and data warehousing.

  • Qualitative research, also such as benchmarking, competitors, and market analysis.

  • Presentation skills, fluency in using data tools and software.
