Senior Product Manager - High Schools

Amsterdam, Noord-Holland, NetherlandsProduct

Job description

Studocu was founded on the principle that equal access to study notes reduces inequality between students. Today, we make it easy for more than 45+ million students to share notes every month. The product was a rocket ship from day one and has shown strong product-market fit on every continent, making us a key player in the exploding EdTech space. We received a $50 million Series B investment so we’re in rapid growth and scale mode, and we need serious talent to help us make it happen.

What you'll be doing as our Senior Product Manager - High Schools

At Studocu we’re all about empowering students throughout their education. For most of our existence our focus was on supporting students in higher education. Recently we have also started to expand our scope to already help out students in high school, before they reach university or college.

Today the product is very similar for high school students and university students. As the PM for High Schools, your mission is to tailor the product experience for high school students to better suit their specific needs. The growth potential here is enormous as more than half a billion people worldwide are attending secondary education.

We need an autonomous, user-centric and growth-minded product manager, with a keen commercial instinct, to test and scale winning growth playbooks. You’ll fully own the high school product strategy, reporting to the Director of Product. With a team of researchers, designers, developers, testers, analysts and data scientists you’ll work fast and lean to ideate and validate winning hypotheses by the dozen. It’s a very high-impact role.

More specifically, you

  • Are the mini-CEO for a critical part of the company. Own it.

  • Take the lead: define the strategy; set the OKRs; be the voice of the whole team.

  • Manage the priorities, balancing big goals with feature requests, bugs and tech debt.

  • Live and breath the needs of our target audience through targeted user research.

  • Crunch reams of data and implement A/B tests to discover valuable insights.

  • Synthesise insights into winning ideas and get the buy-in you need to bring them to life.

  • Work closely with designers, engineers and data scientists to ship product that matters.

  • Coordinate product launches with our marketing, operations and support teams.

Why you'll love it here

  1. You will be working for a global audience, creating an impact on the education of 25 million students across the globe.
  2. You will be given complex data-driven business cases to work on. There will be a lot of data to work with and A/B tests to run at a great scale.
  3. You will be part of a small team and a business which is growing at a rate of 100% but still keeps the start-up culture.
  4. Learn from 35 different nationalities and more than 100 employees. Bringing your own ideas to the table is more than welcome.
  5. You will be given the freedom to set your goals inside your own team, as you will be working in a bottom-up manner.
  6. An awesome office in the centre of Amsterdam with a huge garden, right next to the canals.
  7. A free healthy lunch with our own chef and unhealthy snacks every day when in the office.
  8. 24 holidays based on 40 hours per week. We also provide a public transport card and contribute to your pension scheme.

Job requirements

To be successful in this role, this is the kind of profile we have in mind:
  1. 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager, owning entire products from concept to launch.

  2. Experience working in a B2C startup/scaleup environment, with a large global audience.

  3. Hands-on experience using data to guide product decisions and strategy.

  4. You have a bias for action and a good commercial instinct; capable of prioritising based on impact to the bottom line.

  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills (in English).

  6. Experience developing a product for a younger audience (12-16 years old) is a large plus for this role.
