Studocu was founded on the principle that equal access to study notes reduces inequality between students. Today, we make it easy for more than 45+ million students to share notes every month. The product was a rocket ship from day one and has shown strong product-market fit on every continent, making us a key player in the exploding EdTech space. We received a $50 million Series B investment so we’re in rapid growth and scale mode, and we need serious talent to help us make it happen.

Having proven a very strong product-market fit with the core product we’ve begun working on totally new, complementary products with dedicated teams. One of these teams is focusing on Expert Q&A, where students can ask study questions and get reliable answers from tutors or students. This is a new company bet that was launched in early 2022 and already shows product-market fit with thousands of users.

Together with the Expert Q&A tech team, you will be working on a brand new value proposition in an area where we see a large opportunity. We need a smart, autonomous product manager, with a keen instinct for understanding users and a proven track record of scaling innovative products, to take ours to the next level. You’ll be personally responsible for the product strategy and together with your team, you’ll crunch reams of data and conduct qualitative research to identify user needs, scope the best technical solutions and ship a product that is letting students learn smarter and faster.

What you will be doing

  • You’re the mini-CEO for a critical part of the company. Own it.

  • Take the lead: define the strategy; set the OKRs; be the voice of your team.

  • Manage the priorities, balancing big goals with feature requests, bugs and tech debt.

  • Live and breath the needs of our target audience through targeted user research.

  • Use our abundance of data to your advantage and implement A/B tests to discover valuable insights.

  • Synthesise insights into winning ideas and get the buy-in you need to bring them to life.

  • Work closely with designers, engineers and data scientists to ship a product that matters.

  • Coordinate product launches with our marketing, operations and support teams.

Job requirements

To be successful in this role, this is the kind of profile we have in mind:
  1. At least 3+ years of experience as a PM, owning entire products from concept to launch.

  2. Creative approach to problem-solving.

  3. A proven history of making good judgement calls quickly and independently.

  4. Deep technical background so you can grasp the technical details driving the product.

  5. Strong intuition for amazing UX.

  6. Proven leadership experience and great interpersonal skills.

  7. Lots of experience using data to guide strategy and product decisions.

  8. Good commercial instinct; capable of prioritising based on impact on the bottom line.

  9. Goal-oriented with a bias for action.

  10. Excellent verbal and written communication skills (in English).

Our office

We are located in a beautiful city centre of Amsterdam. Modern-day commerce mixes with Amsterdam’s atmospheric old town in our cosy location that previously served as Woltjer Gymnasium.
