StuDocu was founded on the principle that equal access to study notes reduces inequality between students. Today, we make it easy for 17 million students to share notes. The product was a rocket ship from day one, and has shown strong product-market fit on every continent, making us a key player in the exploding EdTech space. We just received a $50 million Series B investment so we’re in rapid growth and scale mode, and we need serious talent to help us make it happen.

The key to StuDocu’s rapid growth is the viral loop at the center of the product: the more study materials students add, the more students we attract; the more students we attract, the more study materials they add, etc.

Everything starts with fresh, high-quality content. Despite the fact that we already offer more than 12 million documents worldwide, our ambition is to keep on growing at even faster rates, in many more markets, adding as much high-quality content as possible in order to serve an even larger segment of the global student population.

For this reason, we are looking to reinforce the Content team with you. As the newly onboarded Operations Manager, you will help to introduce our concept at thousands of universities across the globe, strengthen our content coverage at mature universities and improve the uploader’s experience by designing, running and optimizing agile processes that drive long-term growth and raise the bar of execution to maintain operational excellence.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Autonomously track and report on the main KPIs: number of documents published, number of universities activated, content quality, marketing costs, speed of acquisition, time to process etc;

  • Jointly with the Operations Platform Manager, build and manage operational processes so that we can cope with rising volumes in a scalable and cost-efficient way;

  • Jointly with the Performance Marketeer (Growth), monitor marketing costs and conversion rates across the funnel, iterate and AB test different tactics in the trendiest paid social channels for GenZ (and scale them across multiple markets);

  • Jointly with the Content Product Manager and Tech, develop new content-related features, improving the conversion rates on the uploader and making the uploading experience as smooth as possible;

  • Jointly with Tech/DevOps, spot bugs and resolve them ASAP!;

  • Come up with creative and bold ideas to scale our Content Operations globally;

  • Report on your own OKRs and work with the wider Content team to achieve them.

Job requirements

  • B.Sc. in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Finance, Statistics or similar field. A relevant M.Sc. (Statistics, Business, Engineering, etc) is a plus;

  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar position, with demonstrable experience working with Tech and Product at tech, user-focused companies (previous experience in ed-tech startups is a big plus);

  • You embody the entrepreneurial mindset: you show a very hands-on approach, you move fast and in an autonomous and resolute way, you are capable of building things from scratch, and most importantly: you never give up!

  • You are comfortable with ambiguity and thrive in fast-changing conditions. You are used to working within cross-functional and diverse teams in a digital, fluid environment;

  • You’re a strategic, analytical thinker, and you can easily design, analyze and optimize operational processes in an agile and smart way. Advanced SQL, and Excel proficiency are required, and familiarity with other data tools, such as Mixpanel or Tableau, is a plus;

  • You are organized, very attentive to detail and independent while being a team player;

  • Knowledge and interest in digital marketing techniques (in particular Performance marketing) is a big plus;

  • Previous Product exposure in a similar B2C company is a big plus;

  • A good understanding of techniques such as A/B testing or statistical analysis is a plus;

  • Experience with User Research is a plus.

We are located in a beautiful city centre of Amsterdam. Modern-day commerce mixes with Amsterdam’s atmospheric old town in our cosy location that previously served as Woltjer Gymnasium.
