We are looking for a talented addition to our team who is a wizard with PHP and has ample experience with PHP frameworks such as Laravel and Symfony. You will work together with the team to develop and maintain a lightning fast and fully tested backend. PHP and SQL have no secrets and you'll always be on top of new tech. You also have a good understanding of web basics (JavaScript, HTML, CSS), allowing you to make changes across our stack, not limited to the backend. Our team is still small which will put you right at the core of our developer team. Joining us now gives you the opportunity to be one of our team leaders in the future.

 

We’re based in a bright office in the center of Amsterdam with the canals, restaurants, and cafes right around the corner. Everyday we have lunch together (it’s amazing) and once a week we’ll crack open a few beers, chill in the garden, or grab our boat for a round in the beautiful canals of Amsterdam. And let's not forget about the occasional pubquizzes, board game nights and bbq cook-offs!

Requirements

  • PHP expert with at least 3 years of professional experience
  • Solid experience with PHP frameworks (i.e. Laravel, Symfony, CodeIgniter, etc.)
  • Proficient with Javascript
  • Expert understanding of core front-end web technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS)
  • Ability to write high-performance, reusable code
  • Ample experience with high traffic (5M+ pageviews/month) web applications
  • Solid English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Bonus points if you have experience with the AWS Cloud Infrastructure
